AI will be able to predict which genes are associated with a certain disease, such as cancer so that it can eradicate them. This could result in a longer lifespan for humans, increasing their population.
As AI gains more power and access to information, it can replace human experts in healthcare, education, and many other fields. For example, doctors can use AI to suggest treatments, diagnose patients, and even predict the onset of life-threatening diseases. Children’s National Medical Center in Washington recently successfully performed surgery using an autonomous robot while a human surgeon supervised it. The autonomous robot performed soft tissue surgery and stitched a pig’s bowel. In the future, such a robot could be used in surgeries to overcome the limitations of minimally-invasive techniques.
